Your Wedding: On the Record
Colorado wedding journalist, commemorating unforgettable occasions
Established by and for the timelessly sentimental
What Is a Wedding Journalist?
A wedding journalist does exactly what it sounds like: I attend your wedding as a writer. I observe. I interview. I take notes on the moments that cameras miss—the fidgeting before walking down the aisle, the hilarious story your aunt told at the bar, the way your father held your hand during your first dance.
Then I turn it all into a timeless keepsake: an editorial feature about your wedding day, featuring you and all your loved ones as the headliners.
Photos show you what you looked like. Video shows you what you said. But a wedding journalist captures what it felt like—for you, and for everyone who was there to witness it.
What is The Love Dispatch?

Hi, I'm Hsing. (Pronounced “sing” like “sing a song.” Yes, I’ve made my peace with the endless puns.) I’m the journalist behind The Love Dispatch.
I spent years in Denver newsrooms learning how to find the lede buried in any story. Then I spent more years writing about business software, which taught me how to make complicated things feel human. And now I'm here, combining everything I've learned to write about the most human thing there is: two people deciding to build a life together.
I want to hear your love story. And if you'll let me, I’d be honored to be there to write it down.

Here's the truth everyone always tells you about your wedding day: you won't remember most of it.
You'll be too busy living it. You'll float from moment to moment in a beautiful blur, catching fragments—a look from your partner during the vows, your dad's face when he first saw you, the first bite of cake. But the full picture? The way your guests experienced it? The conversations happening at the tables you never made it to? That disappears the moment the music stops.
I believe weddings are some of the best stories we'll ever live through—and most of them go untold.
Your wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime event. It deserves more than a highlight reel. It deserves a record.

Before the wedding, we meet for an in-depth interview. I want to know everything—how you met, what drives you crazy about each other, the inside jokes that'll show up in the speeches, the family dynamics I should know about. This is where I learn to see your wedding through your eyes.
On the day, I'm there with a notebook and a voice recorder. I watch the ceremony. I talk to your guests, your parents, your wedding party. I catch the throwaway moments that turn out to be the ones you'll want to remember most.
After the wedding, I write. I design. I revise. A few weeks later, I show up at your door with a bottle of whatever you were drinking that night—and the first copies of your wedding magazine, ready to thumb through together.
